DESCRIPTION:Presenter: Hannah Tipa\, BS – Infection Control Specialist\, New Jersey Department of Health \nJoin us virtually in April as we look at how frontline providers can better understand and address maternal health disparities while recognizing early signs of maternal sepsis. We’ll talk about prevention\, culturally responsive care\, and practical ways to bring this knowledge into everyday practice. Come learn and grow in community. \nWe will start our program with a 30-minute discussion with Sabrina Newkirk and Kieyeitha Ward of The Dope Konscious Doulas\, facilitated by Irina Polanco Ventura\, Director of Public Health Initiatives at the Partnership. Hear about their journeys to becoming community-based doulas and lessons learned for doulas just starting out.

SUMMARY:Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Across the Lifespan: Strengthening Best Care and Support for Families

Please contact ProfEd@pmch.org to be added to the waitlist.  \nIn-Person Conference \nThis conference will explore how Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) affect individuals and families across the lifespan. Participants will learn about the importance of early diagnosis and how delays in identification can create challenges in care\, including during interactions with the justice system. The sessions will offer practical\, skill‑building approaches to improving screening\, strengthening education\, and enhancing support for families raising children with FASD at every stage of life. \nTarget Audience: Nurses\, Social Workers\, Patient Navigators\, Police Officers\, Addiction Counselors\, School Personnel\, Early Childhood Providers\, Case Workers\, Family Support Professionals\, and other professionals working with families affected by FASD. \nDisclosures: None of the speakers or planners for this educational activity have relevant financial relationship(s) to disclosure with ineligible companies whose primary business is producing\, marketing\, selling\, re-selling\, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients. One of the planning committee members. There is no commercial support for this activity. \nContinuing Nursing Education Contact Hours: This live program has been awarded 3.5 contact hours.
