LOCATION: Irvington, New Jersey/Hybrid
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time – 37.5 hours/week

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily operations of the Unity Family Success Center (FSC). Supervise Office Coordinator, Family Partner, Volunteer & Community Partnerships Specialist, and volunteers/interns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Monitor and track Unity Family Success Center activities and develop strategic plans to meet core services.
- Complete and submit for review all FSC monthly reports, FSC monthly activities calendars, and any other reports pertaining to the FSC.
- Hire, train, and supervise UFSC staff and respond to all personnel issues. Periodically track staff performance based on the agency performance evaluation form. Conduct annual performance evaluation. Review and approve staff time sheets, PTO requests, expense reimbursement forms, etc.
- Monitor the progress of the Parent/Community Advisory Board, and provide support as needed.
- Assist families one-on-one with their needs in a non-judgmental, strengths-based manner, including resume assistance, referrals, resources, etc.
- Day-to-day problem solving exercising prudent judgment.
- Implement the Early Childhood Literacy program along with the VCPS according to grant contract.
- Track FSC program expenses and assist with budget planning for FSC activities and events.
- Assist with the grant renewal process.
- Work collaboratively with the co-located Partnership programs.
- Assist with the coordination, facilitation, and monitoring of FSC community events, educational workshops, outreach efforts (including those scheduled for evening and weekend hours) and recruitment and supervision of FSC volunteers and interns.
- Survey participants periodically to understand community needs and implement services accordingly.
- Maintain participant files in an organized and confidential manner.
- Keep accurate and organized files of resources and referral sources available for participants, including both community and state agencies/programs.
- Maintain an array of educational and support materials that can be distributed to participants to provide further information on issues that may be affecting themselves or their families.
- Cultivate donor relationships.
- Attend all required statewide and regional NJDCF meetings.
- Attend conferences and community meetings as requested by supervisor.
- Handles other assignments as requested
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual English/Creole and/or English/Spanish required.
- Four years of direct practice experience in staff supervision, working directly with diverse populations, providing support and guidance, and providing referrals and resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work extensively throughout Irvington and Essex County.
- Computer literacy is required.
