JOB SUMMARY:
Supports the measurement and improvement of organization-level outcomes by supporting the implementation of program reporting and evaluation data systems, as well as program quality improvement. The position is also responsible for analyzing and interpreting program reporting, public health, clinical, socio-economic, and demographic data to create written reports and presentations for internal and external use. The position provides significant support to grants management staff and supports quality improvement activities by serving as a liaison to programmatic staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assess data collection needs and make recommendations for data system solutions for the Partnership’s programs based on funder reporting requirements, staff skillsets, and strategic needs of the organization.
- Identify, develop, support implementation, and troubleshoot data system solutions that allow data collection, monitoring, reporting, and quality improvement activities for Partnership programs.
- Serve as system administrator for program data systems and point of contact for contractors supporting program data systems.
- Train program staff to complete data collection and reporting tasks necessary for routine program implementation and data best practices.
- Combine data from all Partnership programs to document organization-wide accomplishments, measure progress towards goals, and support program quality improvement activities.
- Write and run queries and perform data manipulation and analysis as needed to support planning, quality improvement, grants, and other organizational needs.
- Support grant writing and grants management functions by producing written summaries documenting the Partnership’s program outcomes and experiences on timelines as needed for proposal development.
- Assist with planning, designing, and implementing new programs to address changing community needs by ensuring that data systems are designed effectively and efficiently, supporting implementation, funder priorities, quality improvement, and program outcomes measurement.
- Review data for existing programs to assess their efficacy in meeting goals and analyze data to identify trends or patterns that can be used to improve future programs.
- Contribute to written needs assessments for Partnership grant applications and other documents, gathering data from a variety of sources including but not limited to member hospital birth certificate data, NJ Department of Health, US Department of Health and Human Services, and US Census Bureau.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is performed in a variety of office, health care and community settings; may involve color identification, hearing voice conversation, keyboarding. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision.
WORK REQUIREMENTS: There are no unusual work conditions. Noise level at work is moderate. The employee will experience outside weather conditions while in transit to and from meeting or during special events. Able to work evenings and weekends as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum four-year degree with some coursework in basic programming, data systems, and public health or four years’ experience working in a similar position.
- Extensive experience in program outcomes measurement, data collection including software solutions, data analysis, and development of recommendations from that data in a professional setting is required.
- Familiarity with data systems, including Salesforce or similar competitors, is required.
- A high level of comfort with technology-based program data collection and evaluation solutions is required.
- Ability to patiently train and support technology users of varying skill levels with a customer service orientation is required.
- The ability to work independently and identify and implement creative solutions is required.
- The position also requires the ability to work under strict funder reporting deadlines and independently manage multiple ongoing projects, using strong project management skills, while remaining responsive to internal and external stakeholders
