LOCATION: Newark, New Jersey/Hybrid
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time/37.5 hours/week
ANNUAL SALARY: $46,500 – $48,500
JOB SUMMARY:
Empower students and staff with essential knowledge about immunizations through dynamic community education programs at schools and higher education institutions. Help foster a healthier learning environment by providing impactful guidance on vaccine awareness and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Increase the visibility of the statewide Protect Me with 3+ contest via outreach to middle and high schools and community organizations through meetings, presentations, and tabling events to receive at least 300 student submissions for the contest.
- Coordinate outreach efforts with the PMCH Immunization team to promote vaccine education to elementary, middle, and high school students, including health fairs, community events, and webinars.
- Engage higher education students in education on vaccines through college contacts and at campus events such as sporting events, concerts, and other student activities.
- Participate in and present on immunization-related programs at statewide community and education coalitions.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing annual Protect Me with 3+ student recognition ceremony.
- Handle other duties as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field required
- Community health experience required
- Public speaking experience required
- Computer literacy and experience with social media required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Experience with immunizations preferred
