SUMMARY:Skills Day for Perinatal Visiting Nurses
DESCRIPTION:This program will review the basic essentials of conducting a home visit for birthing parents and newborns. Topics will include steps of conducting a home visit safely\, maternal and newborn assessment\, infant feeding challenges\, addressing emergencies\, and community resources and referrals. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions\, engage in discussions\, and learn from one another.  \nTarget Audience \nPerinatal Visiting Nurses \nLearning Outcome \nAt the conclusion of the program\, participants will report an increase in knowledge and skill to effectively and safely conduct perinatal home visits. \nDisclosure/Commercial Support \nThe planners and speakers do not have any conflicts of interest to report for this activity.
