Established in 2018, the Maternal Health & Perinatal Safety Symposium is a professional education forum that aims to improve health equity and ensure safe respectful births for all. This innovative conference provides physicians, midwives, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers with a review of current issues impacting maternal health and perinatal safety in New Jersey and nationally. Renowned experts will discuss the factors contributing to perinatal morbidity and mortality and propose prevention strategies that direct and enhance hospital obstetrical care for both patients and providers.
