MATERNAL AND FAMILY HEALTH SERVICES

Pregnancy is a time of great joy, but it can also be terrifying if you do not have support.  We offer a variety of maternal and family health services

Including maternal home visitation, support, and outreach services. These programs can help you if you are planning for a pregnancy, are pregnant, or are a new parent. Please review the different service programs and take advantage of our maternal and family health service programs to get the support that you need.

The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is an evidence-based program that partners first-time moms with nurse home visitors.  Women enrolled in this maternal and family health services program are visited by a specially trained, registered nurse throughout the pregnancy, until the baby turns two years old. During these visits, a nurse will offer knowledge and support to confidently create a better life for women and their babies. To enroll in the program, you must be pregnant with your first child, 28 weeks or less and meet income and residency requirements. This program is supported through a combination of state and federal funding from the New Jersey Department of Children and Families and the United Way of Greater Union County.
