The Unity Family Success Center is a welcoming community hub where families and individuals from Irvington and neighboring communities can find support, build connections, and achieve their personal goals. Our mission is to empower residents through resources, education, and opportunities that strengthen families and promote long-term success.
We offer a variety of free services and programs, including one-on-one support, educational workshops, parent-child activities, employment assistance, information and referrals, advocacy services, community groups, and special programs designed to support families in need. Parent-Child Activities
Bring the family together through fun, engaging, and educational activities at the Unity Family Success Center. Throughout the year, we host free parent-child events, including creative arts programs, holiday celebrations, family game days, and special community gatherings. Early Childhood Literacy Program
With generous support from the Turrell Fund, the Unity Family Success Center offers free early childhood literacy education for Essex County families expecting a child or with children from birth to age three. This program helps parents and caregivers understand the critical role that language, reading, and everyday interactions play in a child’s early development. By fostering strong literacy skills from the start, families can build a foundation for lifelong learning and success. Learn more.
Connecting Irvington
Connecting Irvington is a coalition of community organizations committed to supporting Irvington area residents. The non-profit, government, and civic groups share resources and plan community events. The group meets virtually every month. New members are welcome to join. Interested in becoming a member? Volunteers are an important part of the Unity Family Success Center and help make our programs and events possible! We welcome individuals and groups interested in giving back to the community. Opportunities include supporting seasonal events, assisting with monthly programs, and providing administrative support.
