Success Center

The Unity Family Success Center is a family-friendly neighborhood gathering place where residents of Irvington and the surrounding areas are empowered to build self-sufficiency, promote family stability, and reach personal goals. We offer free one-on-one support, educational workshops, community groups, parent/child activities, employment support, information & referrals, and advocacy programs, espeically for families in need. Parent-Child Activities

The Unity Family Success Center hosts a variety of free parent-child activities all year, including art classes, holiday celebrations, and more. Parent-child activities help strengthen family bonds and are fun! Check here monthly for the latest upcoming activities. Registration is encouraged.

Early Childhood Literacy Program

The Unity Family Success Center, with generous support fromthe Turrell Fund, provides free education to families in Essex County who are pregnant or have a baby from newborn to 3 years old on the importance of exposing children during these fundamental years to language and vocabulary. Learn more.

Connecting Irvington

Connecting Irvington is a coalition of community organizations committed to supporting Irvington area residents. The non-profit, government, and civic groups share resources and plan community events. The group meets virtually every month. New members are welcome to join.

Volunteers

Volunteers help the Unity Family Success Center thrive! We welcome volunteer groups to participate in our seasonal events. Individual volunteers are welcome to help with various monthly programs and provide administrative assistance. Use the form to contact us, and an Excellence Family Success Center staff member will contact you. Creole-speaking volunteers are especially needed.
