Perinatal Addictions
Prevention Project

Dangerous substances such as alcohol, drugs and tobacco have critical effects during your pregnancy. The Perinatal Addictions Prevention Project (PAPP) focuses on preventing substance use during pregnancy and providing resources for a safe pregnancy. We serve Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, Union, and Warren Counties.

Our goals

  • Work next to prenatal care specialists to ensure all pregnant women are screened regarding their risk of using alcohol, drug and/or tobacco.
  • Provide professional and consumer education on a variety of topics focused on the reduction of exposure to substances during pregnancy.
  • Support the community through community events and health fairs, extending information about alcohol and drug -free pregnancies.
  • Serve as a community resource for professionals and consumers in need of information about treatment options.
