Back-to-school season is right around the corner, and it is essential to ensure children are protected and ready for the upcoming school year. August is National Immunization Awareness Month, and The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey is preparing our motors to host a series of informative vaccine education events highlighting the importance of vaccinations for children and adolescents.
It’s important to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages, not only children and adolescents. The best way to celebrate is to get informed about the benefits of immunizations. Vaccines are the most effective way to protect against a disease. They stimulate the immune system to recognize and fight viruses or bacteria and help reduce the spread of disease.
Key things to remember about Immunization
- Vaccines are safe and effective
- Everyone should get vaccinated
- Vaccines can save lives.
