Public Voting is Open for Protect Me With 3+
Student Art Contest Highlights the Importance of Vaccines
The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey (Partnership), in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), invites the public to vote for their favorite submissions in the annual Protect Me With 3+ vaccine awareness creative contest.
With the support of their parents, teachers, and school nurses, middle and high school students from across the state created original posters and videos that highlight the importance of vaccines. The contest encourages students to express their creativity through art, highlighting vaccines’ crucial role in protecting public health.
The campaign selection committee narrowed the submissions to the best of the best, ensuring the accuracy of the health information presented. The public is encouraged to select their favorite submissions among the contest finalists. The voting period runs from April 7 – April 11 at 5 pm at www.protectmewith3.com.
“Vaccines save lives and are one of the best tools we have to fight preventable diseases. The Protect Me With 3+ contest empowers students to care for their health and educate their peers through creative expression,” stated Emily Haines, MBA, BSN, RN, Chief Nursing Officer at the Partnership. “We’re grateful to the students, parents, teachers, and nurses who helped make the contest successful. We hope the public will support these students and recognize their outstanding work.”
Schools from across the state took part in this exciting contest. The finalists include students from the Academy of Allied Health and Science, Mercer County Technical School, Marlboro High School, Jackson Liberty High School, PCTI Stem Academy, Scotch Plains Fanwood High School, Robert Lazar Middle School in Montville, and the Hillside Intermediate School in Bridgewater. The winners will be announced in May and recognized at an awards dinner. Additionally, the winning posters and videos are used in immunization awareness campaigns by the Partnership and NJDOH.
