April Doula Dialogues – Assessing Maternal Health Sepsis Rates to Inform Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Training for Frontline Perinatal Healthcare Personnel

Presenter: Hannah Tipa, BS – Infection Control Specialist, New Jersey Department of Health
Join us virtually in April as we look at how frontline providers can better understand and address maternal health disparities while recognizing early signs of maternal sepsis. We’ll talk about prevention, culturally responsive care, and practical ways to bring this knowledge into everyday practice. Come learn and grow in community.
We will start our program with a 30-minute discussion with Sabrina Newkirk and Kieyeitha Ward of The Dope Konscious Doulas, facilitated by Irina Polanco Ventura, Director of Public Health Initiatives at the Partnership. Hear about their journeys to becoming community-based doulas and lessons learned for doulas just starting out.
