Strategies in Lactation Support: Addressing Ethics and Family-Centered Care

Conference and Networking Event

Every lactation journey is unique and often brings unexpected challenges, particularly in the early days and months. Compassionate and knowledgeable support can make a lasting difference for lactating parents and their families. This conference is designed to empower lactation consultants, breastfeeding counselors, perinatal nurses, home-visiting nurses, doulas, and other perinatal professionals with current research, practical tools, and essential resources. Participants will gain the skills and confidence to provide empathetic, effective care and long-term support throughout the lactation experience.

Target Audience: Nurses, lactation consultants and counselors, doulas, community health workers

Continuing Nursing Education Contact Hours: This program has been awarded 4.0 contact hours. The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by New Jersey State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. CERPs: This program has been verified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners to award 3 L-CERPs (1 L-CERP for each breakout session), 2 E-CERPs, and 1 R-CERP. IBLCE Verification C2025513

Approval status does not imply endorsement by the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey, NJSNA or by ANCC of any commercial products discussed/displayed in conjunction with the educational activity.

Learning Outcomes: After attending the program, 85% of learners will report that the continuing education program met their learning needs.

Successful Completion: To receive contact hours for this continuing education program, the registrant must sign in on the sign-in sheet, attend the entire conference, and complete and submit an online evaluation. Certificates of completion will be distributed electronically within two weeks of the event.

Cost: This conference is $75. Early bird – Tickets purchased by July 29, 2025, are $60.
