Updates on Hepatitis B Vaccination

In-Person Presentation during the Essex Metro Immunization Coalition (EMIC) Meeting 

This presentation during the Essex Metro Immunization Coalition (EMIC) Meeting will feature two expert speakers who will delve into critical aspects of Hepatitis B management. The first presentation will focus on perinatal Hepatitis B infection, addressing its clinical presentation, long-term complications, transmission, and identification, particularly in pregnant individuals and newborns. Attendees will gain insights into treatment and prevention strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with this often silent yet dangerous infection. The second presentation will provide updates on Hepatitis B vaccination, new immunization research, and clinical trials, with a particular focus on individuals living with both HIV and Hepatitis B. This comprehensive discussion will help healthcare professionals enhance their understanding of these critical issues.

Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of the program, participants will report an increase in knowledge related to current trends in Hepatitis B vaccination and intent to include information learned into practice.
