Participants will learn from an experienced clinician about evolving perinatal issues of HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis. Clinical management content will include maternal & infant screening recommendations, prevention strategies, diagnosis, and current treatment options. Participants will learn about community-based care coordination strategies and resources that effectively engage families in comprehensive HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis services.
Speaker
Susan Burrows-Clark, RN, MSN, CNS-C, AACRN, has been the APN/Director at Southern N.J. Regional Pediatric & Family HIV Treatment Center since 1990. She is responsible for the administrative duties of the program, funded by private, state, and federal resources. Susan oversees the provision of direct patient care and coordination of patient services using a multidisciplinary, family-centered model in an ambulatory care setting. Her special interest includes perinatal HIV prevention.
Target Audience: Nurses, physicians, and other professionals in the healthcare setting
Learning Outcome: At the conclusion of the program, participants will self-report increased knowledge regarding the clinical management of HIV, hepatitis, and syphilis and effective strategies for care.

Successful Completion: To receive contact hours for participating in the continuing education program, the registrant must join the webinar, attend the entire presentation (at least 80%), and complete and submit an electronic evaluation.
