On Wednesday, December 13, we launched Forward with Fathers, a webinar series for men. Our first session, Our Role in the Black Maternal Health Crisis, focused on how men can support and advocate for Black women. We are truly grateful to Mayor Donald Shaw of Roselle Borough, East Orange Council Chairman Christopher Awe, Newark Councilman Cecil Lawrence Crump, and Babalola Jinadu, DO, OBGYN, for participating in this critical discussion. Kevin Cox, Program Manager of our FELLAS fatherhood initiative, facilitated the event, and Marie Kinsella, Director of Community Programs, provided insight into the Black maternal health crisis.
Forward with Fathers will host a quarterly virtual health discussion led by our FELLAS and Family Success Centers.
