Hudson Gives: Partnering for Safe, Respectful Births and Thriving Families

This month, we are thrilled to participate in Hudson Gives, an online giving day on Thursday, May 14, benefiting nonprofits in Hudson County, New Jersey. With our new headquarters in Hudson County (Secaucus), we are excited to join the 8th year of this annual Hudson Chamber Foundation initiative alongside so many wonderful nonprofits making an impact in the region. We invite you to support our work not only in Hudson County but across our eight-county northern New Jersey service area by donating through Hudson Gives from now until May 21 at 6 PM, with the official giving day on May 14.

At the Partnership, we are changing the paradigm in maternal health by amplifying, supporting, and empowering our communities. If you had a baby in northern New Jersey in the last 34 years, we supported your birth. We work with all local birthing hospitals and centers to improve the quality of care through data analysis, leadership meetings, and professional education opportunities. We are uniquely positioned between healthcare providers and the patient to best advocate for lasting changes to improve maternal health care.

“Every day, the Partnership helps bridge the gap between clinical care and community support. Whether it is through home visiting programs, maternal education, breastfeeding support, doula services, or helping families navigate resources, their work strengthens the safety net for mothers, babies, and families across our region, and we are grateful for it, said Elizabeth Polanco, Administrative Director, Hackensack Meridian Health, at our March ribbon-cutting ceremony organized by the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce.

Each year, we serve over 50,000 families in northern New Jersey through 30 essential community programs, many of which serve residents of Hudson County. We offer free maternal home visitation programs, doula initiatives, emotional support for new parents, family success centers, the FELLAS® free fatherhood program, teen programs, professional education, and health education initiatives on immunizations, childhood lead poisoning prevention, and more.

Whether connecting families with vital resources and support or advocating with physicians and nurses to improve patient care, we work every day to improve the health of women, children, and families. Your support helps us close funding gaps and ensure that every family has a safe, respectful birth and thrives.
