Celebrating Spring and Shared Purpose at our 2026 Spring Soiree
On Wednesday, April 29, we hosted The Spring Soiree at The Westmount Country Club, bringing together community leaders, healthcare advocates, and passionate supporters of maternal and child health. The celebratory evening highlighted the theme of shared purpose, underscoring that it takes all of us – our different skills, passions, and ideas – working together to advance maternal and child health outcomes. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, to our sponsors, our supporters, and our community, and we look forward to what we will accomplish together. This year’s Spring Soirée honored Charles R. Casser (Spirit Award), Shirley Harris (Impact Award), Jennifer Gomes-Lemon (Catalyst Award), and Sanofi (Excellence Award).
Honoring Black Maternal Health Week Together
For the fourth year in a row, we kicked off Black Maternal Health Week by partnering with the Montclair Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta for their annual Strong Starts Community Baby Shower. Nearly 100 new and expectant moms attended the joyous celebration in Newark last weekend.
New Laws Advance Maternal and Child Health Equity
In a major win for maternal and child health in New Jersey, former Governor Murphy signed four new bills to strengthen health outcomes for mothers and infants into law earlier this year. Not only does this new legislation support New Jersey parents and children, but it also advances our mission at the Partnership. We believe that all people must have access to safe, respectful births, and that every family deserves the chance to thrive.
