We celebrated the opening of our new Secaucus headquarters with a ribbon-cutting and open house on Thursday, March 19.
With support from the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, community members and leaders, including Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli, partner organizations, supporters, and staff, the Partnership marked this exciting milestone.
Mariekarl Vilceus-Talty, MA, BSN, Partnership President & CEO, explained, “This new location is symbolic, and it is strategic. Symbolic because it represents growth. Growth in our reach and in our impact, and growth in our belief that communities deserve the care. Not only the care that is built-in, but that is ethically equitable and culturally useful. Strategic, because it allows the space to deepen our impact.”
Alongside Vilceus-Talty, the ribbon-cutting ceremony included remarks from Elizabeth Polanco, Administrative Director at Hackensack Meridian Health, and Emory A. Edwards, President & CEO of the Hudson County Chamber, who emceed the event.
“Every day, the Partnership helps bridge the gap between clinical care and community support. Whether it is through home visiting programs, maternal education, breastfeeding support, doula services, or helping families navigate resources, their work strengthens the safety net for mothers, babies, and families across our region, and we are grateful for it,” Polanco said. “From the hospital’s perspective, that collaboration is so invaluable to us.”
Guests toured the new headquarters during both the ribbon-cutting and the festive open house that evening. As attendees explored the office, staff from each program provided overviews of their work. The office buzzed with conversations between maternal and child health experts and guests about the Partnership’s vital programs. At the Center for Clinical Impact, our professional education program and simulated training facility, guests participated in interactive demonstrations that showcased the new space.
With pride and excitement, we also unveiled our striking new Partnership mural painted by the incredibly talented local artist Margaret Grzymkowski. Guests enjoyed engaging with the vibrant art piece that is beautifully woven throughout the space. The colorful mural creates an inspiring environment for our work and community.
“The work you do is essential. The work you do changes lives. The work you do changes futures,” Edwards said as the ribbon cutting commenced.
Vilceus-Talty officially cut the ribbon to cheers and applause, marking this new chapter. Attendees gathered to celebrate the Partnership’s mission to improve maternal and child health and its commitment to helping all families thrive.
Expressing gratitude for Partnership supporters and advocates, Vilceus-Talty said, “Thank you for being here. This space exists because of you, because of your advocacy, and because of the commitment that you see to making this something bigger than us. So, I just want to say welcome to our new home, and more importantly, welcome to what comes next.”
