This program will explore emerging trends and challenges in perinatal hepatitis C virus (HCV) and syphilis. The speaker will review current clinical guidance, including maternal and infant screening recommendations, prevention strategies, diagnostic considerations, and available treatment options. In addition, effective strategies to improve care coordination for HCV and syphilis follow-up in infants and children will be discussed.

This program will explore evidence-informed approaches toward supporting lactation in the context of substance use disorders and recovery. Participants will gain practical tools - rooted in harm reduction, evidence-based medicine and trauma-informed care to design and implement hospital protocols, effectively counsel patients and promote realistic and patient-centered decision-making for parents affected by Substance Use Disorders.
